Dermaheal GFC PRP Tube

Category: Consumables

GFC (Growth Factor Concentrate) tubes are specialized, sterile medical devices used to prepare a highly concentrated solution of growth factors from a patient's own blood for use in regenerative therapies like hair restoration and skin rejuvenation.

 How GFC Tubes Work:

  • The key difference between GFC and traditional Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is that the GFC method uses standardized kits and protocols to extract only the growth factors, resulting in an acellular product that reduces the risk of inflammation or pain upon injection.
  • Blood Collection: A specific amount of the patient's blood is drawn into the pre-filled GFC tube, which contains an activator solution and an anticoagulant like ACD.
  • Activation and Standing Time: The tubes are gently inverted several times to mix the blood with the activator and then allowed to stand upright for a specific period (around 30 minutes) to allow for GFC activation.
  • Centrifugation: The tubes are then spun in a centrifuge at a specified speed (e.g., 3400 RPM for 10 minutes) to separate the red blood cells and isolate the concentrated growth factors above a gel barrier.
  • Collection and Application: The clear, GFC solution is withdrawn and is ready for immediate application via injection or microneedling into the target area.
